Planting Science - Projects: project 12

project 12

Project by group shscasesweeneyposfall2021

Explore the question that interest me the most is that what other liquids other then water could be use to make a plant grow faster and have a longer lasting life.
Research Question how plants grow in different type of water and what reaction does the plant plant have to different types of water.
Predictions the plant with vinegar will likely not grow, and the plant with baking soda will grow.
Experimental Design 1)get 3 cups, 3 different type of water vinegar, water , and baking soda. 2)get 3 beaker one water, vinegar, baking soda. 3) put them in the plants 4)then see what happens
Conclusion baking soda is a base so it has a pH that is greater then 7. Vinegar is an acid it has a low ph. The effect of vinegar is that it killed the plant while in baking soda the plant survived. in normal water the plant grew more leafs then baking soda and vinegar. this shows that pH does effect plant growth.
