Why Give?

Because you understand the urgency for improved science literacy and the critical need to support teachers in their mission to create tomorrow's innovators.

Your contribution to PlantingScience is vital. The United States Departments of Labor and Commerce make it clear that now and in the very near future, employment opportunities will require a basic understanding of math and science. These projections come at a time when we’ve seen a dramatic decline on a national level in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) education and student performance.

Science solves problems and creates solutions. And to tackle this critical problem of science literacy we’ve mobilized scientists, scientific organizations, and education specialists who together create PlantingScience.

Now, we’re asking you to help by becoming part of the solution too.

Help us continue to offer this unique program to teachers — one that provides all science students with an authentic science experience. Your help will give students the opportunity to develop critical inquiry skills through the actual process of science. It will inspire new generations of scientists.

There are number of ways you can make a difference. Your gift, sponsorship, or grant at any level will sustain and continue to grow this important STEM learning program. It will be directly applied to support middle and high school science teachers and their students.

Your important contribution will go a long way to ensure that students will begin to develop the important competencies and skills necessary to become critical thinkers and our future innovators.

Corporate Support

When your company supports PlantingScience, your commitment to improving science literacy will be highlighted throughout our scientific partners' websites and literature. The corporate community plays a vital role in helping PlantingScience advance its mission.

Through a partnership with PlantingScience, your company can achieve its philanthropic, community relations, and marketing objectives. We can reach:

  • Thousands of website visitors each year
  • Your brand displayed on multiple scientific partner websites
  • Your company highlighted at annual, international scientific conferences

A philanthropic grant from your corporation, or your corporate foundation, can provide vital support for community outreach and localized pilot programs, educational outreach to teachers, research, and ongoing digital learning technology enhancements.

In-kind gifts accepted by PlantingScience also provide significant relief for our operating budget. Numerous needs are satisfied by in-kind donations of goods and services such as equipment, seeds, and online learning website design support and services.

For information about grants or sponsorships, contact Dr. Catrina Adams, Director of Education.
