Project by group ghshendersonfall2021

Explore Outside school I know that Plants are able to adapt in various ways to survive in their habitat/environment. What I discovered in class and background research is that Plants use photosynthesis along with cellular respiration to get their nutrients and function. Plants also have chloroplast.
Research Question We want to study "What makes one individual different from another in a population." We are able to come with questions due to analyzing our surroundings and curiosity. This question fits what we know about the topic because we are trying to see what makes Brassica Rapa different from other in a population.
Predictions I predict that the plants will grow and have distinct DNA from its usual DNA in the Wildlife. This is due to growing inside instead in its usual habitat and using a fertilizer.
Experimental Design Our plan is to build a green house out of a 17 x 14 x 11 1/2 cardboard box consisting of aluminum foil all around it inside and using UED lights as its lighting/heat source, and empty water bottle as a planter. We will measure the heights of the plants and observe how the plants are growing like some's plants are leaning, some are growing strong, and other not much. We are keeping the lights and the amount of fertilizer constant. We are recording our data on a google document with A table chart.
Conclusion The claim we can make from this experiment is that One individual is different from another due to genetics and distinct DNA. The Brassica Rapa we are growing in our green house will differ from the Brassica Rapa in the wild. The data we collected and our reasoning with scientific ideas will support our claim because it will show the differences between inside Brassica Rapa with fertilizer and UED lights vs Brassica Rapa with natural resources such as sun, rain, nitrogen, etc. Future experiments can be done on willing humans like twins or family members on how they differ despite have the same DNA.
