Research Question Will the plant grow faster if we play jazz music?
Predictions If we play jazz music, then the plant will grow faster.
Experimental Design First, we will cut a 1-20 oz sized gatorade bottle in half. In the bottom half of the gatorade bottle we will put reservoir water in it. We will put the top part of the gatorade bottle upside down inside the the bottom half of the bottom part of the bottle. Then inside the top part of the gatorade bottle we will put 50 mL of Perlite. Then, on top on the Perlite we will put potting soil. Together the whole bottle is 11 cm long. In the potting soil we will put 6 mung bean seeds. We will put the gatorade bottle in an enclosed box with 4 T5 High Intensity Fluorescent Bulbs on 24/7. We will then play a jazz song by the name of "Take the A train" by Billy Strayhorn and Duke Ellington, Which we will play 27/7.
