What we have learned is that plants can produce energy but also need it to grow. Also we know the basics that plants need soil, light, and water. We have also earned that plants are dependent on us but we as people are also dependent on them. Some questions we have is if you can make a plant grow faster than it normal growing rate. And if so what element could it be. |
Research Question |
My team wants to study what height of light will effect a plants growth. This question fits with what we have learned because we want to know if giving a plant more of something cause a plant to grow faster than what it normal rate is. We came up with this question by taking what we learned about what it takes to grow plants and applying it to the speed of how long it takes to grow a plant. |
Predictions |
A possible outcome is that the plant could just grow at the normal rate it already grows at and the amount of light doesn't effect it . Or another possible income could be that one plant could actually grow at a faster rate and it could exceed its given height. |
Experimental Design |
Our plant is to get 3 or 4 basic pot plants, and then set them under light that are hanging at certain heights. The variable we will measure is height of the plant, and the variable we will test is the height light . The variable that we will keep constant is the plant ND AMOUNT OF WATER. |
Conclusion |
The plants that are closer to the light will grow faster than the ones further away. |
