Explore That baking soda increases photosynthesis
Research Question Does increasing the amount of baking soda because an increased rate of photosynthesis.
Predictions The rate of photosynthesis will increase a great amount overtime.
Experimental Design 1.Turn on light 2.place bowl upside down under light 3.Measure 100 mL of water and place in cup (tap water) 4.Add amount of baking soda that you are using inside the cup and stir till dissolved (0.25). 5.Cut off 12 chads for each experiment. 6.Place 12 chads into syringe 7.Put stopper back into syringe and slowly push out extra air without squishing chads. 8.Suck up water with syringe 9.Put your thumb over the syringe and pull and push the stopper while shaking the syringe. 10.Dump leaf chads out and into glass bowl. 11.Put leaf chads into baking soda water 12.Put leaf chads and water and baking soda under light. 13.Record data every minute until all leaf chads are floating to the top. 14.Do all of the same steps just within different amounts of baking soda (1g,2g,0.5g).
