We know that plants grow towards the sun and they need water, sun, and carbon dioxide in order to grow. |
Research Question |
Will adding more baking soda make photosynthesis occur faster? We came up with it because we didn’t have a lot of time the first time to test it and we wanted to see if we could get faster results! |
Predictions |
We predict that photosynthesis will occur faster with adding more baking soda. However, the cells in the laces could also get killed, but we believe that it will just make photosynthesis occur faster. |
Experimental Design |
We will fill up two cups of water and put 4 teaspoons of baking soda into one and 2 teaspoons of baking soda into the other. Then cut out 10 disks of leaves total (so we can put 5 disks into each cup) and DONT TOUCH THEM. Next, you have to put a lamp (right over top of it) to resemble the sun. Lastly, start a timer and when photosynthesis begins, the leaves will begin to float! |
