mhsmirandafall2022 project 4

Project by group mhsmirandafall2022

Explore What we know about plants from our experience outside of school is how much humans and animals depend on them. What we have discovered in class and in background research is that 1/32 of earths land is arable. Some questions about plants that intrest us is if it is possible to recreate the perfect scenario in which plants are guaranteed to grow perfectly healthy.
Research Question "Which colored light has the best effect on the growth of the radish?"
Predictions A possible outcome is for the light to affect the plant growth in which the plant might not grow or will grow rapidly. We believe that this might occur due to the light intensity.
Experimental Design Our project is to test how different colored light bulbs will affect the growth of each radish seed. Cardboard boxes will contain an individual plant. Each box will be covered in aluminum foil within the interior, so the different colored lightbulbs can reflect and have full effect on each individual plant. (All) Depending on the quality of the seed will determine how many seeds will be planted in each pot. As well as how deep they will be planted in, but we will plant them a ½ in. deep since we will be planting a smaller variety. (Priscilla) We will be watering the plants equally. Until soaked thoroughly and rewater once a week. Water use will be determined by the size of the container. (Steph) For measuring the radish seed both the height and width will be measured to calculate growth. (Hector)
