mhsfreemanposfall2023 project 2

Project by group mhsfreemanposfall2023

Explore We all had gardens outside of school. We have discovered that we don't know much about plants at all. How do plants get roots?
Research Question would different size plants make cellular Respiration work faster?
Predictions Possible outcomes for our study are we fail or the 1 inch plant will turn the red phenol yellow.
Experimental Design Our procedure will be to get a half an inch, 1 inch, and 2 inch piece of plant and put just enough red pheanol to cover the plant we will have 2 of each and put half in the dark and the other half in light and check after 24 hours and after 48 hours.
Conclusion We checked our results of the project of each size plant. Our hypothesis was that the plants wrapped in the aluminum foil would turn the phenol red yellow. After 24 hours, we checked and our hypothesis was correct. The smallest plant (.5 in) was the darkest yellow, the 1 in was lightest yellow and the largest plant (2 in) was quite lighter. So our hypothesis was correct and our project worked.
