Explore That you need light, water, Co2 to make photosynthesis.
Research Question The effect of color on photosyntheisis
Predictions The blue color and red color will absorb the best according to the absorbtion spectrum. The yellow and violet colors will have an effect but not as big of an effect.
Experimental Design 1. First we will put a Co2 solution into 3 cups 2. Make 30 leaf disks from spinach 3.make a vacum from a syringe and vacum the leaf disks. 4. Put 10 vacumed leaf disks into 3 different cups 5. Put violet, red and blue onto 3 different cups 6.Place 10 cm from the life. 7.Record data for 20 min
Conclusion This experiment investigated how does color effect photosynthesis. Our team predicted that Red and blue will make photosythesis work better instead of violet because the spectrum absorption chart showed that chlorophyll absorbed those colors best. Our hypothesis was wrong; in our second experiment the violet worked better than the blue and red. The violet plant cup photosynthesised 17 minutes before the red and blue. Thinking about our results we forgot that blue cellophane reflects blue light.
