the corn heads

Project by group dmsstiemspring2021

Explore Corn can take a long time to grow with the amount of liquid it takes if it has little or too much it can die. Corn grows underground and it needs to be taken care of daily in order for it to survive.
Research Question How do different liquids affect a corn seed's growth? (Water, soda, apple juice and orange juice)
Predictions We think that the seeds in the soda will take the longest time to germinate because of the amount of sugar in the liquid. We think that the water will grow the fastest. Ultimately we think that the more sugar in the liquid, the slower the seeds will germinate. Soda has the most sugar, OJ has the second, apple juice the third and water has no sugar.
Experimental Design 1 each student puts a folded paper towel in a plastic bag with 10 corn seed put in the paper 2 add 10 ml of a liquid in each bag 3 seal the bag 4 measure the length of the hole plant plus the seed each day
Conclusion In conclusion, water was the most efficient to collect for the corn seeds. But the orange juice and apple juice were the least efficient to collect for corn seeds.
