Research Question |
How does the amount of water affect the germination rate of alfalfa seeds? |
Predictions |
If you give a alfalfa seed more water than another then, it will effect the germination rate positively. |
Experimental Design |
We will place 10 alfalfa seeds into 5 different petri dishes. Each day for 2 weeks. we will put 0 oz of water in 1 petri dish. We will put 3 oz of water in 1 petri dish. We will put 6 oz of water in 1 petri dish. we will put 9 oz of water in 1 petri dish. we will put 12 oz of water in 1 petri dish. Repeat each day For 2 weeks and on the last we will observe the number sprouted. We will observe the germination rate of both. |
Conclusion |
If you give a seed water then it will increase the germination rate of alfalfa seeds. If you add to much the seeds will drown. |
