In our science class, we have learned that all plants carry a food supply. Germination first starts when the seed absorbs the water and it starts to get bigger and bigger. Moisture goes into the seed and it starts to get larger over time. The seed starts to sprout and the seed grows upward to the sun. When will know when the seed germinates completely? |
Research Question |
How much water would the seed need to get the plant to germinate the fastest? |
Predictions |
If the plant has more water, then it will germinate faster. This is because when the water goes into the pea seeds, it will start to germinate. The pea seeds will start to sprout and then take only a couple days. |
Experimental Design |
Will we be using pea seeds. We'll see how long it'll take to germinate. We will be using 3 plastic water bottles and cutting off the top to use it as the holder of the sand and the seed. We will use the measurement process in days since we cannot check up on the experiment several hours apart. We will place 5 peas in each of the three plastic water bottles. |
