Research Question We want to find which brand of seltzer water carries the most CO2 and how it affects photosynthesis. Because fizzy water has an abundance of carbon dioxide, we want to see how the different brands compare to one another and the control, which is distilled water and how it makes photosynthesis occur at a faster rate.
Predictions We thought that the brand with the most CO2 would have the most floating leaves. This is because the abundance of CO2 would speed up the process of photosynthesis within the leaves.
Experimental Design First, we infiltrated at least 40 leaf disks to remove any air in them. Then we put 10 disks each in a cup of distilled water, "Perrier', "Polar", and "Vintage" water/.
