Research Interests (300 words)I am a studying Biology and Chemistry to become a high school teacher in Vienna. So I would say my research interest is didactics.

Profile Question 1When and why did you decide to go into a science career?
-
Answer the question you selected for profile question 1 here (300 words):I think I never really decided to have a job that would be focussed on science. It was somehow always clear to me that I wanted to spend my life finding out how the world works and sharing my knowledge. I have always been interested in how all parts of the environment and the complex interactions in between work together. After school it was obvious that I would start something thats science related. So in 2012 I started studying Biology and Chemistry to become a teacher.

Profile Question 2Can you describe your attitude toward science when you were in high school?
-
Answer the question you selected for profile question 2 here (300 words):When I was in high school I had a pretty naive understanding of science. I would imagine a group of extremely intelligent people who talk to each other about crazy experiments and work on everything at once. They would be Leonardo DaVinci style people who know almost every scientific field and spend most of their days in a lab or in the field with a magnifying glass in their hands. Also they would not have to worry about money, they just have all they need to answer each and every question they can think of.
Its quite funny to think back :)

Profile Question 3What is best about being a scientist?
-
Answer the question you selected for profile question 3 here (300 words):I would want to change this question a bit into what is best about being a science teacher?
In german I would call it the "Aha-Moment" which can be translated to the moment of understanding. It is the exact reason why I not only want to be a scientist but a science teacher. It is the moment when students understand a phenomenon and you can see the spark in their eyes. It happens when you are able to answer a question that they had for a long time. Or if they finish their own experiment and you witness the exact moment of learning. Its simply breathtakingly beautiful.

In addition to English, I am comfortable communicating with students in the following languages:German

Die Tabelle und die grafische Darstellung ist euch gut gelungen!
Hier noch ein paar Änderungsvorschläge:
zur 35° Tabelle: Wählt statt dem Saatgut die Zeit als X-Achse, so wie in den anderen Graphen.
