  • Research Interests (300 words)
I am interested in the conservation of plants which means the protection of plant populations that will continue to flower and grow for many years.

  • Profile Question 1
When and why did you decide to go into a science career?

  • Answer the question you selected for profile question 1 here (300 words):
I didn’t know I could be a biologist until I met one. I thought I was going to be a mining engineer like my dad. But I always loved science and plants, when I was 15 I took an aptitude test and they determined that I had aptitude for science. That was a confirmation of my desire for science!
I didn’t like math but that was not going to stop me from becoming a biologist. I was very impressed by the first biologist I ever met. He loved teaching and he was great at it. He knew so much. I wanted to know as much as he did.
Once I started taking all my biology classes I knew it was the best option for me. I love doing science. I would do it for free!

  • Profile Question 2
What is best about being a scientist?

  • Answer the question you selected for profile question 2 here (300 words):
The best thing about being a scientist is that you never get bored, you learn something new every day. Science is a collaborative process so you get to meet a lot of very interesting people, have great conversations. What I love about science is that sometimes you get a result that you were not expecting and that is OK. Actually, that helps you review your thinking and inspires you to keep asking questions.
Also, I get a sense of accomplishment knowing that what I am studying might help conserve plants so the future generations can see them too.

  • Profile Question 3
Can you describe your attitude toward science when you were in high school?

  • Answer the question you selected for profile question 3 here (300 words):
Surprisingly, science wasn't my favorite class. History was my favorite. My history teacher was engaging and fun. My science interest was prominent when we had to compete in science fair. I like how we could work as a team to find a good question and think of different ways to approach the problem. I like a challenge! and I think that is why I love science.

Hi Team,

I am sorry, I didn't see your previous message. When we look at few plants we might be confused by differences like the ones you had with Sofia and Maya treatments. That is why is important to have more replicates.

Thank you so…

Hi team,

It is ok if you planted seeds on different days. Make you you have observations for each day. write the date you planted the seeds, that is important. How are you planning to  measure growth? I would like to hear your ideas.
