  To me it is learning something new about plants every day. Plant science and science in general is full of open-ended questions.

  Middle school. I love to read and learn, and biology was/is my favorite subject. I figured that by being a scientist I will spend my life reading and learning, then I became a scientist.

  The algarrobo ( Prosopis chilensis) tree . In Peru we make algarrobina from the algarrobo pod (the fruit). It is delicious.

Hello Everyone, 

My name is Zilfina. I am an assistant professor at the University of Georgia, Tifton Campus. My work centers on the improvement of cultural practices in blueberry productions systems. My favorite tree fruits are avocado and blueberries, because they are very nutritious fruit. During my free time I like to bike with my kids and husband. I also like to bake.
