    I have participated in projects involved in hybrid breeding and soil microbiology. I have also participated in a couple of ecological site assessment projects related to birds.

    When and why did you decide to go into a science career?

    I have always had a great interest in science since I was a young kid and the interest grew and continued with me into adulthood. I also love working with my hands so soil science became a natural fit.

    Do you have advice for students about preparing for a science career?

    Work hard and talk to scientists that share your interests you will be surprised at how many experiences will open up to you that way.

    What is the coolest thing you have discovered or learned about plants?

    How incredibly diverse and adaptive the plant kingdom is, there are so many niches that plants occupy while at the same time sharing so many common traits.

Looking at the data it seems like the plants with low fertilizer almost follow a bell curve distribution while the ones with more fertilizer are skewing towards taller plants so it would appear that the fertilizer is accounting for most of theā€¦
