• Describe your teaching experience and interests in a brief public biography (200 words)

  After earning a degree in Horticulture Production and Marketing from Purdue University I decided to pursue a career in education. Upon completion of my first year teaching at Lawrence Central my department chair asked me to create a Botany course for students interested in continuing their science education after completing their first Biology course. Since then another teacher took over the course when I stepped into the role of department chair and began teaching AP Biology. I still enjoy working with plants and helping my Honors and AP students design plant based experiments.
