    My background in teaching began at Texas A&M University at Galveston where I was a Senior Research Scientist for 10 years at the Sea Turtle and Fisheries Ecology Research Lab working on endangered sea turtle research. I taught Vertebrate and Invertebrate Zoology and marine biology courses. Went back to school in Chicago to teach middle childhood science and taught in Chicago and then in Tipp City, Ohio, 6-8 grade science for 10 years. Now at WSU teaching pre-service teachers how to teach biology.
