  I was very involved and took classes in Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics very seriously.

  What is the coolest thing you have discovered or learned about plants?

  Unlike animals, which are mobile, plants are unable to move away from stressful situations. As such, they have developed the most robust stress tolerance mechanisms that enable them withstand extreme changes in environmental patterns much better than animals.

Hi Team,

Sorry for the late introduction. My name is Chika Nwugo. I'm excited to work with you on your project. I have a PhD in plant molecular biology with a focus on looking at the effect of silicon nutrition on photosynthetic processes in rice plants. Although I've moved on to industry, I'm still very passionate about the principles of plant biology and sharing my knowledge with students.
