    When leaves get old, they turn yellow. Our lab discovered that the number of chloroplasts stays high and that each chloroplast has lots of DNA. What are those chloroplasts doing if they are not performing photosynthesis?

An abstract is a short paragraph that explains what question was asked, what experimental approach was taken to ask this question, what the results were and how these results answered your original question. Keep it brief and simple!!!

Good Introduction and Methods section....conclusions? Looks like they need to be done. In the Results section, you should describe what the graph shows in words.
