    I am currently working on the development disease disease-resistant vegetable varieties. I have used a molecular approach to screen plant varieties. Additionally, I am seeking the usage possibilities of beneficial microorganisms as a tool to ameliorate the detrimental effects of abiotic stress in agriculture.

    The best side of being a scientist is always being curious about almost everything that I see.

    What was the first science experiment you ever designed? How did it turn out?

  • Answer the question you selected for profile question 3 here (300 words):
    I performed PCR to detect a gene that confer resistance to PVY and PVX extreme resistance to potatoes. The experiment was unsuccessful because I forgot to add taq polymerase into the PCR reaction mix. Since then, I always double-checked everything in my experiment.
