    My research interests are wildlife conservation and management and nature-based tourism. In my immediate past line of work as a Public Health Inspector at the Ministry of Health, I pioneered the ten-step process for establishing ‘Smoke-Free cities’ against second-hand smoking in Sri Lanka. My publications include reasons for visitor dissatisfaction with tourism experiences, human-elephant conflict, and illegal capture and internal trade of wild Asian elephants. I am currently reading for a Ph.D. focusing on the feeding ecology of Asian elephants in Sri Lanka.
