Research Interests (300 words)I'm an orbital warfare officer in the Space Force. I am doing a tour at the United States Air Force Academy in the biology department. I teach botany and introductory biology to the cadets here. I received my graduate degree in astrobotany, or the study of plants in space. My research goals are to genetically modify plants for the spaceflight environment. PLANTS ARE AWESOME!

Answer the question you selected for profile question 2 here (300 words):I also that I can make a whole new plant from just one cell of another plant. Can you take one of your cells and make a whole new you? No, not nearly as easily!!

Answer the question you selected for profile question 3 here (300 words):Growing up I wanted to be an astrophysicist. Instead I majored in biology. It's okay to change your mind. Spend your younger years exploring. It's also 100% acceptable to not know what you want to study. It takes a while to find your niche.
