Describe your teaching experience and interests in a brief public biography (200 words)
I began teaching middle school science, math & coaching in Spokane Washington in 1993. In 2006, after a move to the coast, I began teaching high school math which I did for 14 years. During that time frame I became a certified food scientist and ran an area berry lab during the summers. In 2019, The science department head convinced me to move to the science department as I have a BS in Forestry and there was an opening. I am currently teaching chemistry and college in the high school biology. I have taught for 29 years. I enjoy hiking, golfing, nearly anything on or in the water, hanging out with our cockapoo Willie & being a grandma. I love my exhausting job!
