I attended Fort Hays State University for a BS in Biology(1993) and Emporia State University for an MS in Biology (2004) . I began my teaching career in Oberlin, KS (1993) where I taught 7th grade science as well as 12th grade A&P. After a few years, I made a move east to Atchison, KS (1997) and have been teaching at USD 409/Atchison High School ever since. I've taught a wide range of courses at AHS from Intro to Bio to Biology II as well as Physical Science, Forensic Science, Environmental Science, and Bio-technical Engineering.

Outside the classroom I garden, sew, crochet, read, tent camp, and love spending time with my husband and sons.
