  • Describe your teaching experience and interests in a brief public biography (200 words)
I have taught in three different school districts. My first teaching job was for Brush High School, Brush, Colorado. I taught there for ten years there for students in grades nine through twelve. I taught Biology, Advanced Biology, Basic Biology, and Physical Science. My next school district was Hot Springs Schools in Hot Springs, Montana. There I taught grades seven through twelve. I taught Earth Science, Physical Science, Biology, Advanced Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. My final school, and current school I teach at now is Thompson Falls School High School. I teach grades nine through twelve. The subjects range from Physical Science, Chemistry, Physics, Drones, Science Projects (build your own curriculum of science with investigation), and Academic Support.

My degree is in Biology along with a Broadfield Endorsement. I enjoy teaching all sciences, but my passion is science projects, as I was a science fair advisor for my years at Brush High School and enjoyed watching students research and test investigations and present what they learned.

This year for my science projects class we entered an Artemis ROADS challenge event put on by Washington University and the NESSP program. ROADS stands for Rovers Observation and Drones Survey.
