    I study plants, microbes, and plastics- Specifically, I am interested in how plants interact with their environments, and how they adjust to conditions such as pollution, changing climates, and the introduction or loss of pathogenic or beneficial microbes. My research focuses on the end goal of finding products that allow us to grow stronger, more resilient plants for our everyday needs like food, materials, and medicine

    What is best about being a scientist?

    Being a scientist means being paid to be curious! I love that my job lets me think and explore and follow my interests. All one needs to do to get started as a scientist is ask questions, and I LOVE asking questions!
