  of course, when I was a child, I was very curious, I wanted to ask everything and find an answer to everything, not many things have changed, when you grow up and are in high school you begin to know the means to obtain those answers, that there are ways to answer the questions of life and nature, the basics of biology that you know make you choose a beautiful path, the path of science.

  What is the coolest thing you have discovered or learned about plants?

  As I said before, when I was a child I asked myself everything, in Colombia our grandmothers usually have plants of the genus Diefembaquia at home, it is very common. When cut these plants have raphides and as a child feeling the burning that this produces made me ask myself at a very young age, what caused it, was there something microscopic that produced this, they must be microscopic needles!! He had found raphid crystals at an early age.

  Research is something innate, something that comes from the heart. When I left high school I knew that I wanted to study something related to the natural sciences, and already at university I knew that I had to do an undergraduate thesis as my degree option, I don't see a life in which I stop researching.
