  I am a botanist with special interest in plant taxonomy and ecology and special focus on Orchidaceae and Burmanniaceae. My aim is to conserve rare and threatened plants in-situ or ex-situ, using both traditional and modern approaches.

  While during my PhD, I took part time classes for Masters and Diploma students. And, during my job as a Botanist in Hong Kong for 11 years, I guided intern students with Bachelors and Masters background. I have also been involved in Capacity Building programs in India and Laos PDR during my work there.

  For me the best thing is to observe nature closely, in the wild, or under the miscroscope.

  What is your favorite plant? Why?

  There is this group of orchids where the inflorescence is bend down at the apex and the flowers are borne on the bend stalk. A unique character of of Genus Geodorum. I call this a humble orchid and it is my favourite plant among these is Geodorum densiflorum.

Very good way of documentation. Good images make integral part of a good research. Just in case you were looking for taking measurements, then adding a scale next to it would have helped.

Thanks for the information Rose.

It is always advisable to present your findings systematically, instead of providing information in small parts. It helps the audience understand properly and also saves time for both.

Ok, thats great work Bob. What about the seedlings. You shared images of your seedlings and I think you measured their height too.
