• Describe your teaching experience and interests in a brief public biography (200 words)

  I became interested in teaching at the high school level while pursuing a Ph.D. in plant biology. During my graduate school years, I enjoyed being a teaching assistant for undergraduate courses and doing outreach with middle school and high school students. I have now been teaching at the high school level for 15 years and am a recipient of the Outstanding Biology Teaching Award from NABT.
