  My favorite plant is the sunflower. I like the sunflower not only because it is a beautiful flower but I think it is so cool that young sunflowers follow the sun across the sky so they can always get direct sunlight. I think it is also cool that older sunflowers always face East so that they can see the rising sun.

Hi! My name is Eli and I am a science education student and I would love to be a teacher or work in a cool science museum when I'm older. I love plants and my favorite plant is the sunflower because I think it is really cool how they follow the sun when they are younger. My mom also has a garden where she grows veggies and flowers and there's even some cilantro in her garden!

I am so excited to work with all of you on this project. I think you have come up with a super interesting question and experimental design. In response to your question Eliza, a lot of times in science, scientists do not know what will happen and have to guess about what will happen in their experiment. Making a guess based on the information you were given is a very scientific practice!
