  My research seeks to improve the understanding of the inter-relationships between soil, climate and tree-to-tree interactions on the growth of trees. I also study the effects of disturbances on trees including man-made disturbances (Silviculture) and natural disturbances (wind storms). I can also assist students to better understand mathematical formulations in plant Biology/Biostatistics.

  I decided at junior high school to go into science as I quickly discovered at the time that I have an exceptional curiosity about scientific subjects.

  That there is no end to experiments or findings. Every finding opens you up to greater pool of questions and an increased curiosity.

Hi Devesh, Amanda, Elizabeth, Edward and Julias

I am Kenneth Anyomi, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. My research interests include the effects of soil, climate and plant-plant interactions on plant productivity. I also study the impacts of wind storms on forests  managed for timber production, and which also provide crucial wildlife habitats, as well as other ecosystem goods and services. I look forward to mentoring the 'Power of Sunlight' project.
