    My research seeks to improve the understanding of the inter-relationships between soil, climate and tree-to-tree interactions on the growth of trees. I also study the effects of disturbances on trees including man-made disturbances (Silviculture) and natural disturbances (wind storms). I can also assist students to better understand mathematical formulations in plant Biology/Biostatistics.

    When and why did you decide to go into a science career?

    I decided at junior high school to go into science as I quickly discovered at the time that I have an exceptional curiosity about scientific subjects.

    What is best about being a scientist?

    That there is no end to experiments or findings. Every finding opens you up to greater pool of questions and an increased curiosity.

    There is not always the required funding to carry out a research.
