• Describe your teaching experience and interests in a brief public biography (200 words)

  I initially did not choose teaching as a career choice, but instead chose research early on after receiving my BS. However, it was during these early years of my career that I discovered that I enjoyed teaching students in the lab setting. I went back and earned my teaching degree, and have been teaching biology and chemistry and everything in between for the last 20 years. I will begin teaching an environmental science course this year and along with my biology courses want to have a lot of hands on lab based scientific experiences for my students.
