Research Interests (300 words)My research interests lie in the morphological and biochemical characterization of single and multigene mutants of ubiquitin specific proteases (UBPs) within Arabidopsis thaliana. My research in bioinformatic and phylogenetic analyses of ubiquitin specific proteases throughout plant and animal species has revealed conservation and divergence of UBPs amongst species. I’ve used plasmid construction/site-directed mutagenesis followed by DNA/RNA and morphological analyses to implicate the role and importance of gene domains and post-translational modifications to gene function. I also have experience in genotyping, phenotyping, southern blotting, SDS-PAGE, cloning, bacterial cell culture techniques, plant transformation, and various cell, DNA/RNA and protein purification methods.

Hi All,
You could wrap them in some parafilm and see what happens, however that might not allow much oxygen. So, which is worse drying out or lack of oxygen? Have fun on your trip!

Hi KJ,
Do you think that measuring the total plant growth or time to full growth will actually answer your question about how long it takes to germinate? I think you could find a better way. Think about what germination is and the signs of…
