Describe your teaching experience and interests in a brief public biography (200 words)
I have been teaching Biological and Health Sciences for over 15 years now. I have a Masters of Science in Science Education through Montana State University and I mostly interested in life and environmental sciences. All of the courses I teach are offered for dual credit and we partner with local universities so our students receive both HS and College credits for their coursework. I am hoping to integrate more plant science into my Environmental Studies class. My students have been working to develop a greenhouse that integrates traditional gardening, hydroponics, and aquaponics. I am excited to help my students gain real world research experience and my students regularly participate in the International Science and Engineering Fair each spring.
