Thanks Angel. How do you plan to test that? What do you predict before you perform the experiment?

Hi everyone:

It is very common in science to have results we do not expect, especially in biology given things are messy. Something to take away from this is sometimes we do not find things because of experimental error, but other times it might indicate a real phenomenon. Given scientists know much about photosynthesis, and the procedure your class did has been done many times and on average found to work - but there are always issues - it is likely something happened in the class that made it not work. However, science still does not know everything there is to know about photosynthesis; researchers around the world are still studying the basics and also how photosynthesis might respond to say environmental factors.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Best wishes,

Laura
