  I direct the RISE Institute, a program that provides opportunities for highly motivated students in scientific research, agriculture, robotics, visual communication, entrepreneurship, photography, medicine, and law and public policy. I'm interested in collaborating with researchers to help my students develop real answers to real problems at our urban farm. Our particular interest is the development of protocols for germinating seeds and growing in coconut coir.
