Thanks for the great drafts, Amanda! I revised and uploaded a new THIRD draft. I made some fairly large changes to the wording and syntax, but not to the content or structure itself.

Are there group thoughts on whether we should include an introduction to these inquiries, or whether they'll be introduced thoroughly in other sections? To add to Amanda's comment on introductions below, I would suggest we would consider adding an introduction to soil types (sand/silt/clay), properties (fine vs. coarse texture), and that these affect nutrient and water holding capacities. Also possibly discussion of how soil types change in general ways across different regions of the US (making some regions more agriculturally productive, and affecting when/where fertilizer is applied), or possible discussion of impacts of severe weather events on runoff.
