The majority of these biology students have already had experience with physics and chemistry. They will have been exposed to photosynthesis in detail by the beginning of the experiment. It is a self-directed project that has the student team design and execute an experiment that investigates the effects of a student created variable on the growth of Brassica rapa, also known as Wisconsin Fast Plant.
