I love the idea of having an expert on plant sciences in the classroom to help the students deepen their understanding. We are teaching a unit on seed germination and photosynthesis in plants. The students are going to use their developing understanding of plants to design an experiment that focuses on one aspect of plant life (e.g. sunlight and how it impacts growth or germination). In addition, with the help of PlantingScience, I hope to grow as a science teacher in this area.
