  • Grades: Middle School Students (grades 6,7,8)

What We're Doing

  • Planning to Start: 9/21/20
  • Planning to End: 11/13/20
  • Theme: The Wonder of Seeds (seed germination and growth)
  • Course: Life Science

Our Outcomes

I would like to do this with my 7th graders during a reproduction and heredity unit that includes growing a plant from seed to observe how both genetics and the environment affect seedling growth. Along with helping students to understanding that scientific content, it is important to me that they are doing it using inquiry methods with driving questions that are interesting to them. Working with mentors provides an awesome mentoring experience that develops their scientific communication skills, as well as collaboration skills.
