What have you learned about agronomy and plant growth over the past couple of weeks.
Over the past weeks, we have learned about plants, their growth, what benefits them, and what doesn´t. We also learned about what affects plants to grow and what soil is the best. |
Research Question |
Can the amount of soil affect the growth of the plant? |
Predictions |
I think the amount of soil will affect the plant's growth because it is the base where the plant is grown. |
Experimental Design |
-In different pots, place different amounts of soil
-Place a plant of your choice to grow
-Grow the plant how you would usually grow a plant
-Days after, look at the growth and collect data on how much
soil the plant has and how much it has grown
-For this experiment, it would be better to make a chart or graph
to look at the results
-Independent variable: type of plant
-Dependent variable: the amount of soil |
Conclusion |
Soil is the basis of the plant. It is where it gets grown off of not to mention the root is part of the plant which is what grows in the soil ! The amount of soil can effect the plants growth because its what causes the roots to grow, and it provides nutrients to the plants. Without lots of soil it would interfer with the growth of the plants as well as how healthy they are too. |
