The Hustlers

Project by group whsrhinefall2020

Explore From our experiences outside of school we know that plants use photosynthesis to make their own food. In class we discovered that the mass of a plant comes form carbon and not from water.
Research Question Where does a plant get its mass?
Predictions Our hypothesis is that the seeds that will get water and light will have more mass than the rest because the other seeds will only get water or light not both.
Experimental Design Step 1: Gather all the materials needed Step 2: Put paper towels into three different petri dishes Step 3: Place 1.0 grams of radish seeds in each petri dish Step 4: Take dish 1 add water and place in light Step 5: Take dish 2 water, and place in cabinet Step 6: Take dish 3 and place by window Step 7: Leave in conditioner 1-2 weeks Step 8: Place each dish in drying oven Step 9: Weight the mass Step 10: Write data down Step 11:Show data in table
