Explore We know that photosynthesis produces oxygen. In class we learned that the mass of a plant does not come from water but carbon dioxide.
Research Question Where does the mass of a plant come from ? How do plants get their mass? There mass from carbon dioxide in the plant.
Predictions We decided that dish 1 would have the most mass because it has water and was exposed to the light.
Experimental Design Step 1: Gather all the materials needed Step 2: Put paper towels into three different petri dishes Step 3: Place 1.0 grams of radish seeds in each petri dish Step 4: Take dish 1 add water and place in light Step 5: Take dish 2 water, and place in cabinet Step 6: Take dish 3 and place by window Step 7: Leave in conditions 1-2 weeks Step 8: Place each dish in drying oven Step 9: Weight the mass Step 10: Write data down Step 11:Show data in table
