The Effect of Light Intensities on Plants and...

Project by group whsgiancioppospring2019

Explore There are many different types of plants.
Research Question The purpose of this experiment is to determine if different intensities of light affect plant growth. A negative result would be interesting because it would prove the hypothesis and legitimate websites incorrect.
Predictions The control light will make the plant grow the best and be the healthiest. This is because the plant will have enough light to create go through photosynthesis efficiently and effectively, but will not have too much or too little light that will cause it to damage, die, or not grow as much as it could.
Experimental Design We have 4 light boxes each housing its own plant with different light intensities. The first plant house has 1 plant with no shade (control). The second plant house has one plant and 1 shades. The third plant house has 2 shades. The fourth plant house has 4 shades and one plant. The plants sit on top of textbooks so they can be closer to the light source.
