Explore If the soil was overfilled with water or had very little, there's a possibility that our plant may not grow as it's supposed to. Plants may not grow sufficiently if they are overwatered or under watered, the environment for plants must be consistent/controlled. Plants also require sunlight as well as CO2 in order to perform photosynthesis and to retrieve glucose as a nutrient product.
Research Question Will the trichome density in our parents (COL x LER) cause our recombinant inbred line (RIL) to have increased trichome density and plant growth (leaf width)?
Predictions If the parent plants (COL x LER) have greater density of trichomes then it is expected that the offspring (RIL) will also have immense trichome density and will appear larger in terms of leaf width, however, variation may occur if one of the parents (either COL or LER) has greater or less amount of trichome density and have smaller leaf width.
