We know that plants are able to absorb as much water that it would need in its time of watering but that with time, watering will have to vary from plant to plant, climate, plating medium, nutrients, PH, pot of choice, amount of sunlight, and humidity. Some things that interest us about plants is that there able to teach us much, a reflection of "humans", and we wonder how their able to accumulate in this burning society we live in. |
Research Question |
Will soaked seeds or dry seeds affect its's pattern of growth/structure and how will the plan't health vary. |
Predictions |
We believe that the seeds that are not soaked will grow a little slower than the soaked pea seeds & the soaked will grow a lot more abundant with all it's needs given |
Experimental Design |
We will first somewhat germinate the seeds in a damp paper towl to help promote a little root grouth. Once their socked for a couple of hours we will then sow the seeds in their plastic pots at the same time and keep them under a light box. We will water them with a pipette consistently and measure how much we use. We will then measure and illustrate anything that could or should be measured for example the roots, leaves, steams, growth, etc. We will then conclude our experiment with using our illustrations and data that has been gathered from the experiment. |
Conclusion |
We have concluded that all in all, soaking dried green peas which we really thought would grow a lot more abundant/faster due to the humidity but compared to the non soaked, they are a lot more sprouts growing and they are a lot more little leaves then the soaked. To truly conclude, soaking Pisum Sativium did not make much a diffrence but keeping the seeds dry will help with the growth results of a green pea plant and keeping/giving the seedlings their proper care and needs you'll be able to grow a full bean stock in no time haha but too much light will result in a little crisping of the tips of the plants so that's one thing to watch for if we want to keep growing this species of plant indoor or even out. |
