O'hare Air

Project by group shsrobinsonfall2019

Explore We know that plants need water to grow, and are also food for other organisms. We have discovered that plants photosynthesise and use cellular respiration to survive.
Research Question We want to find out if a plant grows faster under the influence of a worm. We came up with question by brainstorming with each other, and this is what we came up with.
Predictions The possible outcomes are that the worm eats the plant or the worm gives it nutrients. We think the worm will get hungry or decide to help us.
Experimental Design Wait for the seeds to germinate Put the seeds in the growth chambers. put the dirt in the growth chambers. put ted in growth chamber 2 put another worm (rob Wiggle) in growth chamber 3
Conclusion We have to conclude that the worms did help at some point for the growth development for our plants, even though one of our worms died during the project. Possible explanations for why the worms helped was probably because worms are decomposers and they usually help plants grow/ get the nutrients that it needs to grow. Future experiments that could be done are testing with a greater number of worms to see if they would grow even faster with a greater number of worms.
